Surprise Bath
“When the client says, ‘completely gut and remodel my bath, but don’t tell my wife, ok?’ ”, what do you say, except, “sure!”

“I have a large master bath that hasn’t been touched since the 80s. I want it gutted completely,…but don’t tell my wife.” What do you say when that’s your client’s directive? Ummm..well… “sure!”
We started by gutting the outdated 80s bathroom. Instead, we created a beachy oasis with a light gray weathered modern door and a custom ottoman in soft boucle. To top it off, we installed a brilliant chandelier made of glass globes in the center of the vaulted ceiling.
The old mauve tub was sledgehammered out and replaced with a huge walk-in shower featuring light pebble tiles on the floor. We also added Moroccan-style mirrors flanked by hammered nickel sconces and monumental 4-foot square tiles in a calming cement hue on the floor. And of course, we included a steam shower for the ultimate relaxation after a day at the beach.
The best part? We caught the wife's reaction on video, which you can check out on our Instagram (with a few bleeps!). Needless to say, she was thrilled, and we're now working on the rest of the house. Cheers to another successful renovation!
