Huntington Bay Kitchen
“The vision for my kitchen was to design a space that's chic, practical, and an extension of my personal style”.

For this project, A.K.A my own home, I was excited to design a kitchen that would reflect my personal style and be highly functional. I opted for an updated, contemporary neutral palette, using a soft green cabinetry for a touch of warmth. Our home is a beach house and we love to entertain, so I incorporated many workhorse accessories inside the cabinetry. My favorite of these is the walnut pantry interior, which stores a ton of food, spices and vitamins, and even has supplemental wine storage.
For counters, I selected a natural quartzite which is muted, sophisticated, and very durable for all our beach barbeques. Hand-twisted rope counter stools provide a place for family and guests to keep us company while we cook, and give the space a natural feel. The chandelier and accent lighting are coco beads and travertine, which add a unique organic vibe.
We are coffee and tea addicts, so I designed a coffee bar with its own prep sink and hot/cold water filter faucet. Glass upper cabinets allow plenty of light to shine through, and I accented the area with a hand-made green glazed crackle tile.
Check out the hidden door in the cabinetry that leads to a walk in pantry. This hidden gem helps keep all of my counter appliances organized and within reach, but off the counters in the primary kitchen, and it also houses my paneled freezer, more food storage and larger platters and cookware.
